Neva Howell has been acting for almost 40 years. She has appeared in dozens of films and television shows. Most recently, she played Ma Kent in the 2025 Superman movie by James Gunn. Before that, her most recent roles included Ms. Crawford in Greedy People and Ms. Roberts in Ghosts of the Ozarks.
Previous appearances include Burden, The Originals, Mercy Street, Wimpy Kids, Run the Race, Ned’s Declassified, A Painted House and many more.
Neva trained in Los Angeles with acclaimed teachers including Stephen Tobolowsky, Lisa Dalton, The Groundlings ad others. In addition to a love of acting, Neva also enjoys writing and directing and has directed several theatre plays. She was part of a creative online community called Beckinfield for a number of years and really enjoys creating original characters and writing original scenes for them.
