Walt Flanagan, man of much comic book knowledge and artistic talent, has served as the manager for The Secret Stash since its doors opened in 1997. In addition to keeping the comic book store running, he hosts the podcast Tell ’em Steve-Dave with Bryan Johnson and Brian Quinn. Walt also appears on the AMC reality series Comic Book Men with Bryan and their coworkers at the Stash, Ming Chen and Michael Zapcic.
Long-time friend Kevin Smith often calls on Walt to draw the comic books he writes, including Batman: Cacophony and Batman: The Widening Gyre. Walt has collaborated with Bryan Johnson on the comics Karney, War of the Undead, and Cryptozoic Man.
No stranger to being on camera before Comic Book Men began, Walt is a member of Smith’s Askewniverse, appearing in the films Jay and Silent Bob’s Super Groovy Movie, Clerks II, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Dogma, Chasing Amy, Mallrats, and Clerks. Not to mention lending his voice to the short-lived animated Clerks cartoon. Walt also starred in Vulgar, written and directed by Bryan Johnson.
