Joey Lauren Adams is an actress-writer-director who has appeared in over 30 films such as Dazed and Confused, Big Daddy, Mallrats, Bio-Dome and The Break Up. She earned a Golden Globe nomination as best leading actress for her work in Chasing Amy. She wrote and directed the film, Come Early Morning, starring Ashley Judd, which was selected by Sundance and nominated for the Grand Jury Prize. The film also garnered Adams the Women In Film Dorothy Arzner Directors Award. She next penned a script based on a Texas Monthly article that was purchased by Courtney Cox and Coquette Productions. Most recently, she starred in the CMT series Still The King, which she also directed 2 episodes of, and Showtime’s The L Word Generation Q.
