Jade Wu is an actor, playwright, screenwriter, producer, director, editor and creative dilettante. She has worked for ABC Daytime Drama Series General Hospital and One Life to Live as well as recurring roles on Homicide: Life on the Streets, Law & Order: Criminal Intent and The Jury. On stage, she has performed with Meryl Streep and Kevin Kline in Mother Courage and Her Children, adapted by Tony Kushner, directed by George C. Wolfe. Jade’s role as Ahma Chin in Michael Kang’s The Motel earned him a Humanitas Prize for his award-winning Sundance pedigree film. Most recently, she appeared as Connie Lin in Marvel’s hit series Luke Cage, and will be reprising the role in the upcoming Season 2.
In addition to her vast working repertoire in television film, theater and stage, Jade has served as a National Endowment for the Arts Panelist, New York State Council on the Arts Individual Artist Grant Panelist and as an International Emmy Awards Juror. She heads a nonprofit organization that nurtures and supports underrepresented projects on human rights, social justice and diversity, and has also been a return Lecturer at Bard College and has taught at the Fashion Institute of Technology, Cal State East Bay and the Raul Julia Performing Arts Institute.
