Benjamin Byron Davis recently charmed audiences worldwide with his turn as Bletelsnort in the global hit Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, written and directed by his longtime friend and collaborator James Gunn. Bletelsport is memorably charmed when Mantis uses her powers to make the security guard fall in love with Drax the Destroyer. Davis also turned in a vicious and violent performance as Antonio Fowler in James Gunn’s gore fest, The Belko Experiment.
He will soon be seen in the Borderlands feature film, which is Lionsgate’s and Eli Roth and Tim Miller’s adaptation of the uber successful video game. Ben plays Pandora’s arms dealer and financial mercenary ‘Marcus Kincaid,’ opposite Cate Blanchett’s infamous outlaw ‘Lilith.’ Marcus is a valuable ally to the player characters, offering them missions, selling them weapons, and providing them with useful information. Borderlands is one of the world’s most successful game franchises, with more than 68 million units sold-in worldwide.
In the arena of performance capture, Davis has created the iconic character of ‘Dutch van der Linde,’ the complex and charismatic gang leader in Rockstar Games’s Red Dead Redemption (2010) and Red Dead Redemption II (2018).
This accomplished actor, writer and director, has also appeared in several popular television series including Parks and Recreation, Rizzoli & Isles, Bones, Medium, and How I met Your Mother.
